Octopus Hugging the Alphabet Letter O
Coloring guide
With big sparkly eyes and an open smile, a cheerful octopus wraps its curvy tentacles around a large outlined letter O, leaving a roomy blank space for little hands. A few small dots sit on its round head, and each tentacle has a row of suction cups. Bubbles in different sizes float nearby, and along the sandy sea floor at the bottom you'll find a ribbed scallop shell, a spiral seashell, two coral plants and a few small pebbles. Since octopus starts with O, this free printable suits preschoolers learning that letter. A purple octopus, an orange O and light blue bubbles would make the big letter stand out. Thick outlines and large shapes keep things easy for beginners to color inside. Kids who like Alphabet coloring pages usually enjoy Calendar and Anatomy too.

- 2Fill the large letter O ring around the center with medium purple, then color the inner oval center with lavender.
- 3Add deep purple spots on the top of the head and a few light dots on the tentacles, using a slightly darker purple.
- 4Color the bubbles sky blue, the seaweed leafy green, and the shells coral pink, with orange and peach on the bottom right shell and a golden yellow touch.
- 5Color the smile rosy red and the tongue salmon, keeping the eyes white with black pupils, and fill the pebbles with stone gray.
- 6Optional: add a little deep purple shading along one side of the tentacles and the letter O to make the octopus look rounder.
