In this close-up portrait, a friendly peacock glances over its shoulder with a big round eye, long lashes and a small smile on its curved beak. - 1Start with the head, neck, and crest feathers in royal blue, leaving the eye white and the thin crest stalks uncolored.
- 2Fill the large peacock feathers on both sides with emerald green, keeping the thin inner lines and the white gaps between feathers clear.
- 3Color the feather rings and the beak with golden yellow, working around the small white highlights.
- 4Add the eye circles in aqua blue and bright sky blue, and fill the area around the eye with pale blue.
- 5Color the centers of the feather eyes in cobalt blue, then add the small heart shapes in the same deep blue.
- 6Optional: Lightly shade the bottom right feather in light gray to make it look like it sits behind the others.
