A friendly peacock with a tall crest of round-tipped feathers walks along a garden path in this detailed scene. Its neck curves gracefully, and the big eye and small beak give it a sweet, curious look. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big body parts: color the peacock's long neck and head with royal blue, and fill the upper body with sky blue.
- 2Next, color the wing feathers and the lower wing edge with bright blue, leaving the background behind the peacock white.
- 3Paint the tail fan: fill the eye-shaped feathers and the bottom tail feathers with golden yellow and teal, and keep the small rings in the middle of each eye white.
- 4Color the flowers: fill the big petals with hot pink, the flower centers and beak with golden yellow, and the tulips with cherry red.
- 5Add the greenery: color the bushes, leaves and tulip stems with grass green, light green and forest green, then fill the fence posts and stepping stones with light tan and the dirt patch with warm brown. Leave the gaps between fence posts white.
- 6Optional: add a little darker shading on the lower parts of the wing and tail with a slightly deeper version of the same color for extra depth.
