From behind a wide tree trunk, a little bunny peeks out and hugs a striped Easter egg in both paws. It has a happy smile, big sparkly eyes, whiskers and two tall ears, with one ear bending outward. At the bottom of the trunk you can see a tiny fluffy foot and tail. The bark is made of long, simple lines, so small hands can color it without trouble. A branch across the top carries two five-petal blossoms and a few leaves, and more flowers and grass tufts gather at the base of the tree. Big open areas make this free printable a good fit for preschoolers and early elementary kids. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the bunny's face, body, paws and arm with light brown, leaving the tree bark white.
- 2Color the inside of both ears light pink, then add the carrot in orange with its stripes left as white lines.
- 3Paint the blossoms pink and their centers in fresh green-free pink tones, and add the small lavender bud near the bottom flowers.
- 4Color the leaves and grass with leaf green, fresh green and light green, and fill the cotton tail with cream.
- 5Optional: Add a little darker brown to the flower stems and the bunny's inner shading for depth.
- 6Leave the background, branch highlights and grass tips white to keep the drawing bright.
