Pin Oak Leaf With Pointed Lobes and Deep Sinuses

Coloring guide
A single large oak leaf is drawn on a slanted angle, with a long thin stem running from the bottom left up through the middle of the leaf. Deep rounded cuts separate the lobes, and each lobe ends in sharp, bristle-like points. Thin vein lines branch off the center rib and run into every lobe, and a few small scalloped notches show along the edges of the left lobes. The background is plain white, so there is plenty of open space around the leaf. This page works well for a fall nature lesson. Kids can look at the veins and shapes, then color the leaf in autumn reds, oranges and browns, or leave the veins a darker shade to make them stand out. It is also a good printable for pressing a real leaf beside it and comparing the lobes.
