Rearing Horse Outline With Flowing Mane and Tail

Rearing Horse Outline With Flowing Mane and Tail coloring page

Coloring guide

A single horse stands on its hind legs in a rearing pose, drawn as a clean, smooth outline with no interior detail. Its head tilts upward, and the mane curls down the neck in a couple of swirly, wavy shapes. The front legs are folded up near the chest with the hooves hanging down, and a long tail sweeps out behind the horse to a pointed, feathery tip. Because the body is left completely open, there is lots of room to try different looks. Try a palomino with golden yellow and a lighter mane, or use a few shades of brown and let the swirls in the mane stand out in a darker color. Kids can also practice staying inside the lines along the thin curves of the tail and legs. It's a good fit for a free printable to pair with a lesson on horses or a quiet afternoon of drawing.
