Red Skull Portrait for Captain America Fans

A gentle color plan to get started — mix in your own anytime.

• warm beige
• charcoal gray
• tomato red
• pale ivory

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.

1. 1Color the whole bald skull, the cheeks, the jaw, the neck and the ears with warm beige, leaving the eyes and teeth for later.
2. 2Fill the big jacket on the left side and the jacket lapel with charcoal gray, keeping the shirt area white.
3. 3Color the long necktie in the middle, both the upper and lower parts, with tomato red.
4. 4Fill every tooth in the open grin with pale ivory so they look soft and cream rather than bright white.
5. 5Leave the eye whites and the shirt on the right side white, then add the dark pupils and the black nostril and mouth shadows last.
6. 6Optional: Add light diagonal strokes of a slightly darker shade over the skull and jacket to give a sketchy, textured look.
