Rocket Ship Zooming Through a Sky of Stars

Coloring guide
Tilted upward and zooming through space, this cheerful rocket has two round porthole windows, each with a smiling face, a bigger one on top and a smaller one below. It has a pointed nose cone, two curved side fins, a banded base, and a flame shooting out the bottom into a big swirly puff of smoke. On the left floats a small ringed planet with little crater dots, and stars in different sizes are scattered over the rest of the page. Clean, bold outlines help preschoolers and early elementary kids who are still building marker and crayon control. A bright red body, orange and yellow for the fins and flame, and a purple planet would look great. The free printable PDF is ready whenever you want a quick coloring break. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the two fins on each side of the rocket and color them coral red, leaving the white space between the lines as it is.
- 2Fill the bottom flame of the rocket with orange, then color the smaller flame inside it golden yellow.
- 3Color the band wrapping around the bottom of the rocket sky blue, and the nose cone tip coral red.
- 4Give the planet its lavender purple body and orange ring, and fill the rings around both rocket windows sky blue.
- 5Color all the stars with golden yellow, keeping the rocket body, the window faces and the smoke clouds white.
- 6Optional: Add a little extra shading on the fins and the flame with a slightly darker shade of the same color for more depth.
