A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the sky, clouds, and distant hills in pale sky blue, leaving the stars and the moon white.
- 2Color the reindeer's head, neck, and body in golden brown, the antlers in amber brown, and the belly and lower chest in light gray.
- 3Fill Santa's coat, hat, and gloves in cherry red, his face in peach, and leave his beard and the fur trim white.
- 4Color the sleigh sides in bright red and dark red, then add golden yellow trim, curls, and runners, with the green gift boxes and red holly on the sleigh.
- 5Finish the village with steel blue, golden yellow, and bright red houses, forest green trees, and a light gray fence, leaving the snowy roofs and snow patches white.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker shading under the reindeer's belly and in the sleigh's curls to make the drawing pop.
