Seahorse Ocean Scene With Jellyfish, Starfish and Urchins

Coloring guide
A big, friendly seahorse floats upright in the middle of this ocean page. It has a curled tail, a ridged dorsal fin, a fan-shaped side fin and a body covered in dots and belly stripes. Two smiling jellyfish with long wavy tentacles drift at the top corners, and small striped fish swim on both sides of the seahorse. Bubbles are scattered all around. Along the bottom, two happy starfish rest on a sandy seabed with rocks, beside spiky sea urchins that have cute faces. Tall seaweed, branching coral and tube-shaped sponges fill the sides. Large open shapes mixed with small detailed patterns suit kids who like some variety. Sunny yellow and orange with teal dots would look great on the seahorse, and soft purple or pink works for the jellyfish. Print it at home for classroom time or a rainy day. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the seaweed and plants: color the tall seaweed on both sides with lime green and leaf green, and the coral branches with a sea green touch.
- 2Fill the sandy seabed and rocks: use light sand for the sand patches and light gray for the rocks, leaving the bubbles and open water white.
- 3Color the seahorse: paint the head, neck and upper body golden yellow, and the lower body, dorsal fins and tail with tangerine orange, leaving the small spots on the yellow part white.
- 4Add the jellyfish: give the left jelly a lavender cap and the right jelly a baby pink cap, keeping their tentacles white or lightly tinted.
- 5Brighten the starfish and urchins: color the starfish with salmon orange and the spiny urchins in light gray, leaving their faces white.
- 6Finish the details: add violet purple to the tube corals, coral red to the small coral, and marigold to the tail curl. Optional: add a little extra shading on the seahorse body for depth.
