Shaggy Grinch-Style Monster Hugging a Big Bow Present
Coloring guide
This round-faced, shaggy creature has a curly tuft of hair on top and stands upright with a large wrapped present squeezed against its tummy. The box has vertical stripes and a big floppy bow, so there are lots of sections for little hands to fill in. Look for the wide side-glancing eyes, big oval nose, goofy smile with a tongue peeking out, and small rounded ears. The furry edges, chunky paws and tiny feet add texture too. Simple snowflakes and five-pointed stars are scattered around the figure on a plain white background. A red bow with green stripes on the box looks nice, with soft purple or blue for the fur. It's a free printable for holiday crafts, quiet time at home or a classroom activity. The creature isn't clearly the Grinch, so the description sticks to what is actually drawn. A gentle color plan to get started — mix in your own anytime.
- bright red
- apple green
- golden yellow
- forest green
- pale cream
- lime green
A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the Grinch's face, hands, legs, and the tufts of hair on top of his head with apple green, then color the nose with lime green.
- 2Color the Grinch's big coat and his arms with bright red, leaving the white fur trim around the neck, shoulders, sleeves, and bottom untouched.
- 3Color the gift box stripes, alternating bright red and forest green, and add golden yellow stripes down the middle of the box.
- 4Fill the large bow, its loops, tails, and center knot with golden yellow, then color all the small stars golden yellow too.
- 5Leave the eye whites, teeth, fur trim, and snowflakes white so they stand out against the background.
- 6Optional: Add a little pale cream shading above the eyes and along the edges of the bow to make the drawing look more dimensional.
