- 1Start with the big background areas: color the ice rink, snowy hills and ground in sky blue, leaving the snow patches white.
- 2Fill the Grinch's coat body and sleeves with bright red, and the lower coat hem as well, keeping the fur trim and round buttons white.
- 3Color the Grinch's face, hands, legs and raised leg in lime green, and the nose too.
- 4Add forest green to the evergreen trees, leaving the snowy tips and bottom edges white.
- 5Color the skate blades in sky blue and keep the skate boots and fur cuffs white.
- 6Optional: Add a little cool gray to the eyelid shade and a few soft shadows on the coat for depth.
