Heart-Shaped Spout on a Happy Baby Whale

Coloring guide
This sweet picture shows a round, happy whale on wavy water, with big sparkly eyes and a wide open-mouth smile. Spray from its blowhole curls into the shape of a heart, and a small heart sits at the very top. Two more hearts and a handful of teardrop-shaped droplets float around the spout. You'll also spot the tail curling up on the right, a little side flipper, and curved lines on the belly. The outlines are thick and clean, and the open areas are big, so little hands can stay inside the lines. Pink or red hearts look lovely next to a sky blue body, and a lighter shade works well for the belly stripes. Try this free printable for quiet time at home or at school. Kids who like Whale coloring pages usually enjoy Dolphin and Shark too.

- bright blue
- light blue
- pale blue
- rose pink
- coral pink
A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the whale's big round body and tail using bright blue, pressing lightly and leaving the eye whites and cheek shine uncolored.
- 2Fill the water spout, the large splash at the top, and the droplets around it with light blue.
- 3Color the belly stripes along the bottom of the whale with pale blue, leaving the lighter gaps between them as you like.
- 4Add the two hearts on the sides and the small heart at the top of the spout in rose pink.
- 5Fill the open smile with coral pink, then leave the eye whites and the small white shine spots on the eyes blank.
- 6Optional: Add a slightly darker blue along the bottom edge of the whale body and under the spout for a bit of depth. Leave the background and the waves white.
