This little bus has big sparkly eyes and a wide open-mouth smile, and it's rolling along a road marked with dashes. The door is open with steps showing, and there are three large rounded windows along the side. You'll also spot a side mirror, a round headlight and a grille with little horizontal lines up front. Two chunky wheels with hubcaps leave lots of room for bold crayon strokes. One fluffy cloud floats in an otherwise empty sky. With thick outlines and simple shapes, this free printable is good practice for preschoolers and early learners who are working on staying inside the lines. You could make the bus bright yellow with black wheel rims, add a blue sky behind the cloud and use gray for the road. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big yellow areas: color the bus roof, body, front section and fenders with golden yellow, leaving the headlight white.
- 2Fill the cloud, the windshield, the side windows and the door glass with sky blue, keeping the eye whites white.
- 3Color the tires and the dark stripe along the bus body with charcoal gray, then use light gray for the wheel hub rings and medium gray for the bumpers, steps and side mirror.
- 4Add bright red to the two roof lights and the rear light, and use light gray for the grille bars.
- 5Finish the road with medium gray and leave the dashed lines white, then fill the wheel centers with golden yellow.
- 6Optional: Add light shading with a slightly darker tone along the lower edges of the bus to make it look rounder.
