Sledding Down a Winter Hill in a Pom-Pom Hat
Coloring guide
Down a snowy hill zooms a happy child on a wooden sled, holding the curved handles with mittened hands. The child wears a ribbed pom-pom beanie and a striped scarf that streams out behind in the wind, and the wide open-mouth grin says it all. Snow sprays up around the runners, small bumpy drifts line the slope, and two snow-dusted evergreens stand on the hilltops behind. Thick outlines and roomy shapes work for preschoolers and early elementary kids, and the stripes on the hat and scarf give older kids something to chew on. A red hat and matching scarf would look great against pale blue snow and shadows. This free printable is a cozy way to spend an afternoon at home or at school. Looking for more? - 3Use forest green for the pants and the tree branches, leaving the snow on the tree tops white.
- 4Color the boots with dark brown and warm brown cuffs, the soles with medium gray, and the open mouth with coral pink.
- 5Fill the bright red scarf and its long tail, then color the pom-pom golden yellow and the sled parts with golden tan and light orange.
- 6Optional: Add ice blue or pale frost blue to the snow spray and tiny snow dots around the sled, and leave the background hill white.
