Little Ladybug Climbing a Daisy Stem

Coloring guide
Here a cheerful ladybug hugs the long stem of a big daisy, arms and legs wrapped around the stalk as it makes its way up toward the bloom. It has a round face with big sparkly eyes, a wide open smile and two curly antennae. The wing cover is covered in large circles that are fun to fill in. At the top, the daisy has wide, rounded petals around a center full of small circles. Two big leaves branch off the stem, and grass tufts sit in the bottom corners. Thick lines and roomy shapes suit preschoolers and early elementary kids with crayons or chunky markers. Red for the shell and yellow for the flower center works nicely, and your child can choose any petal colors. Print this free PDF for a quiet afternoon or a spring class project. Looking for more? A gentle color plan to get started — mix in your own anytime.
- sunny yellow
- leaf green
- golden orange
- coral red
- charcoal gray
A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the daisy petals all over in sunny yellow, staying inside the thick outlines.
- 2Fill the flower center with golden orange, then leave small white dots as the seeds.
- 3Color the two big leaves in leaf green, leaving the stem and grass white.
- 4Fill the ladybug's shell in coral red, then add charcoal gray spots around it.
- 5Color the ladybug's head, legs, hands and feet in charcoal gray, and the antenna ball in coral red. Keep the eye whites and the smile white.
- 6Optional: add a slightly darker shade along one side of the petals and leaves for a bit of depth.
