Perched on top of a large, glossy water droplet, a cheerful ladybug with a big round smile and sparkly eyes holds on while a curved leaf arches overhead like an umbrella. Her spotted wing cover has lots of round circles ready for color, her little striped legs grip the droplet, and two curled antennae bounce on her head. Small motion lines beside the droplet give it a playful wobble. Smaller raindrops surround her, three leaves float in the corners, and a simple sun with rays shines at the top right. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the big water droplet, the large leaf, the bottom leaves and the right leaf in light green, leaving the droplet's shine spots white.
- 2Fill the ladybug's shell and antenna tip with bright red, then color the head in pale yellow.
- 3Color the sun in golden yellow and the three raindrops in sky blue.
- 4Use dark gray for the legs and arms, and darker leaf green for the top leaf edge, back leaf and stem.
- 5Add black spots on the shell, the dark spot near the antenna, and the pupils of the eyes, leaving the eye highlights white.
- 6Optional: Add a little brick red inside the smiling mouth and some soft shading along the droplet and leaves for depth.
