On a checkered picnic blanket, a cheerful ladybug holds a little flowered teacup in both hands, smiling with big sparkly eyes and long curled antennae. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big background: color the grass and leaves in lime green and bright green, and the tree foliage in leaf green, leaving the sky and the white flower petals untouched.
- 2Fill the ladybug's wings, head top and body segments with ladybug red, then color the face cream, leaving the eye whites white.
- 3Color the tablecloth and its checks in pale pink and coral pink, and fill the cake layers in pale yellow with a hot pink frosting on top.
- 4Add the strawberry in ladybug red, the teacup and cake plate in sky blue, and the teapot in white with a blush pink touch on the spout.
- 5Finish the details: color the legs and wing spots charcoal gray, the flower centers golden yellow, and the petals in rose pink, leaving the highlights and most flower petals white. Optional: Add a little darker red to the shadow under the body for depth.
