Smiling Mailbox With Sunflower and Wooden Post

A cheerful mailbox with big round eyes, raised eyebrows, and an open smile sits on top of a wooden post with a woodgrain pattern. The little flag is up on the side, and a small latch sits at the top of the rounded door. Beside the post, a tall flower with large petals and a dotted center grows from a long stem with two leaves, and tufts of grass fill in the bottom corners. The lines are bold and the shapes are large, so this one works well for younger kids using chunky crayons. Since it is filed under Labor Day, you could talk about the people who sort and deliver mail, then let kids pick a bright color for the flag and try a few browns for the post. The dots in the flower center are fun to color one at a time. Print it free and keep it handy for a quiet afternoon.
