Smiling Number Characters 0 to 9 With Kids and Puppy

A boy in a hoodie and a girl with a headband lean over a big board holding the numbers 0 through 9, with the girl waving hello. Each digit has its own face, arms, and shoes, and they sit in two rows of five boxes. Some give a thumbs up, some wave, and the 3 holds up two fingers. Behind them a bird perches on a leafy tree branch, and the sun and a few clouds fill the sky. A wooden fence runs along the right edge. At the bottom, a puppy with a collar sits in the grass near flowers, and a butterfly flies along a dotted trail. Try asking a child to color the numbers in order from 0 to 9 and count out loud as they go. You could also have them pick one color for the even digits and another for the odd ones. This printable page works well for early number recognition at home or in class.
