In this underwater scene, a happy baby sea turtle with big sparkly eyes and a wide smile glides along, with three small striped fish swimming around it. Wavy lines at the top show the surface, and a few round bubbles rise beside the turtle. The sandy bottom has tall wavy seaweed on both sides, small rocks, tiny pebbles and a star-shaped starfish in the corner. Large sections divide the shell, which younger kids can fill in easily, and the round spots on the flippers give older kids more to do. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the turtle's shell with caramel brown, leaving the thin dividing lines between the plates white.
- 2Fill the center shell plate with dark brown to make it stand out from the rest of the shell.
- 3Color the head, neck, and both flippers with pale green, then add grass green and forest green spots on the flippers and head.
- 4Paint the belly and lower neck with butter yellow, and leave the eye whites and shiny highlights white.
- 5Color the three fish with golden yellow bodies and tangerine stripes and fins, and paint the starfish coral orange, leaving its small dots white.
- 6Fill the seaweed with grass green and the rocks with light gray, then color the bubble sky blue. Optional: add darker shading along the shell edges and seaweed for depth.
