A big, friendly seahorse is the star of this page, with a curly tail, ridged back, spotted body and wavy fin. A little clownfish with bold stripes swims over to say hello, and a smiling jellyfish floats near the top corner while bubbles drift toward the surface. The ocean floor below is packed with tube sponges, branching coral, a rounded brain coral, swaying seaweed and a starfish resting on the sand. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the seawater: fill the open water behind the seahorse and fish with sky blue and ocean blue, leaving the bubbles and white highlights uncolored.
- 2Color the seahorse in golden yellow, with pale yellow on its lower body and bright yellow on the spiral tail, leaving the small white dots and eye white untouched.
- 3Fill the seahorse's dorsal fins and fins with pumpkin orange, and the tail fin with orange, to add warm contrast.
- 4Paint the clownfish with orange on its body and fins, keeping the white stripes white, then add pumpkin orange to its top stripes.
- 5Color the starfish in orange with amber accents, and fill the sand with tan sand and soft cream, plus the rocks with grayish teal.
- 6Optional: Add coral red and tangerine to the tube corals and sprinkle a little emerald green on the seaweed and light lilac on the jellyfish for extra charm.
