Squirrel in a Cozy Hollow Full of Acorns and Nuts

Inside a tree hollow, a cheerful squirrel sits upright with big sparkling eyes, holding a single acorn in both paws. A generous pile of acorns, hazelnuts and oak leaves covers the floor in front. Behind it, a wooden shelf holds a jar, an acorn and a pinecone with leafy sprigs, and a little lantern hangs from a branch above. On the right, a woven basket of nuts with a checkered cloth on top sits near a round window showing a tree and clouds outside. The bushy tail curls up along the left side with lots of fur lines. Acorn caps and basket weave are good for small details. Try warm browns and golden tans on the nuts and a soft yellow glow for the lantern. Great for a quiet autumn afternoon. This fits right in with our Squirrel coloring pages — see also Puppies and Cats.
