Wolf Pup Peeking From a Tree Hollow
Coloring guide
Poking its head out of a hollow in a big tree trunk, this fluffy wolf pup rests both front paws on the edge and smiles with its mouth open. Large round eyes, pointed ears and tufty fur around the cheeks and chest give it a friendly, playful look. Curved bark lines sweep across the top of the page. Two spotted mushrooms, one big and one small, sit on the left, with another on the right. Leafy fern fronds, a few grass tufts and some flat pebbles finish the forest floor. Large shapes and clean lines make this free printable a good match for young children still building pencil control. Warm grey and cream suit the pup, and bright red mushroom caps will stand out against green ferns. Love this Wolves coloring page? You might also enjoy our Bat and Sea Animals coloring pages.

- 1Start with the wolf pup's head and face: fill them in orange, leaving the eye shines white.
- 2Color the hollow around the pup, including the arch above and both sides, in dark brown.
- 3Fill the ferns on both sides with leafy green, and the grass tufts at the bottom with olive green.
- 4Color the mushroom caps bright red and their stems cream, leaving the white spots untouched.
- 5Fill the pup's inner ears and both front paws with cream, the tongue with pink, and the stones with soft gray. Color the dirt patch at the left with warm brown.
- 6Optional: add a little darker orange along the edges of the head and a touch of dark brown under the paws for depth.
