Sunset Acacia Scene With a Young Elephant
Coloring guide
A young elephant faces forward with big round eyes and a gentle smile, its trunk curled at the tip and two small tusks showing on either side. On the left, a wide acacia tree spreads its flat, leafy top, and three birds fly across the upper right of the sky. Far back, a half sun sits low over calm water marked with simple ripples. Tufts of grass dot the ground around the elephant's feet. The tail ends in a little tuft of hair, and wrinkle lines on the legs and trunk add extra details to color. Soft blue-gray for the elephant and warm oranges and yellows for the sunset would suit it well. Print or download it free whenever you want a quick coloring break. Looking for more? - 1Start with the big elephant shapes: fill the body, head, trunk and legs with light gray, leaving the tusks and toenails empty.
- 2Color the two ears in light gray for the near one and coral pink for the far one, then add the cream tusks and toenails.
- 3Fill the tree crown and the leaves at the top with grass green, and color the bushes and grassy strips on the ground with forest green and yellow green.
- 4Color the tree trunk and its base medium brown, the tail tuft dark brown, and leave the thin branches white.
- 5Color the sun golden yellow, the water sky blue, and the shoreline grass green.
- 6Optional: add light darker strokes of light gray or dark brown on the elephant and trunk for a bit of shading.
