Tree-Climbing Raccoon With Big Leaves

Coloring guide
Hugging a big tree trunk, a curious raccoon reaches one front paw up the bark while a back foot holds on lower down. It glances over its shoulder at you with wide eyes and a small smile. The bushy ringed tail hangs down on the left, and the face mask and fluffy fur are drawn in short, friendly strokes. Large leaves sit on the branches around the trunk, and a few more peek in from the right edge. Simple vertical lines mark the bark, and the big, clear shapes work well for preschoolers and early elementary kids still building pencil control. It's a free printable that suits a quiet afternoon or a nature lesson. Soft grays for the fur and dark charcoal for the mask and tail rings will do nicely, and mixing bright and deep greens on the leaves helps the raccoon stand out. Add this to your Raccoon coloring page collection, alongside Puppies and Cats.

- 3Color the raccoon's tail stripes, alternating charcoal gray and medium gray from the base to the tip.
- 4Color all the leaves bright green, adding moss green and light green to a few leaves and the small twigs for variety.
- 5Fill the raccoon's inner ears and paw pads with soft pink, the face mask and eye area with charcoal gray, and the muzzle and brow with cream.
- 6Optional: Leave the eye shine highlights white and add a few darker lines on the leaves and tree bark to add depth.
