Tulip Garden with Ladybug and Butterfly: Easter for Kids Coloring

This springtime garden has three big tulips rising over daisies, small five-petal flowers and lots of leafy greenery. Up in the right corner, a smiling butterfly with heart-shaped wing patterns flutters along, leaving a dotted flight path behind it. A cheerful ladybug with a spotted shell rests on a large curved leaf on the left. Down low in the grass you'll spot three Easter eggs, one with curved stripes, one with polka dots and one with wavy lines. Small rolling clouds or hills sit in the background. Little hands can handle the big tulip petals and egg patterns, and older kids can spend time on the flowers and leaves. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the three tulips first: golden yellow for the left tulip, tomato red for the tall center tulip, and rose pink for the right tulip.
- 2Color the leaves and stems with leaf green, and use lime green for the smaller leaves and grass near the ladybug.
- 3Paint the eggs: give the polka dot egg a lavender purple body and leave its white dots, then fill the striped eggs with orange, sky blue and golden yellow bands, with a sage gray base under the left egg.
- 4Add the ladybug in tomato red and the butterfly wings in light pink with lavender purple spots, leaving the black spots and eyes white.
- 5Color the small blue flowers with sky blue and the daisies with golden yellow centers, keeping the daisy petals white.
- 6Optional: add a slightly darker shade of leaf green along one side of each leaf for a little depth.
