A boy and a girl in helmets stand on a snowy, rocky peak, and the boy pumps one fist high in the air to cheer. He has a backpack, a climbing harness with gear loops and spiked boots, and one foot is propped on a rock. The girl has a ponytail and a big smile, and she holds a tall pole with a waving flag. There's lots to color, from the jackets and straps to the snowy bumps under their feet. Bright red and orange jackets will make the climbers stand out against cool blue mountains. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the sky and distant mountains: color the mountain slopes and background hills in light sky blue and soft blue, leaving the clouds and snowy peaks white.
- 2Fill the bushy hills and valleys in grass green, forest green, and sea green, adding deep teal and ocean teal in the darker patches.
- 3Color the two climbers' skin in peach skin, then add the boy's helmet in golden yellow and the girl's helmet in bright red.
- 4Paint the boy's jacket and raised sleeve in bright blue and the girl's jacket in hot pink, then add charcoal gray to both pairs of pants and the harness straps.
- 5Color the rocky summit in warm brown and dark taupe, and fill the boots in burnt orange, keeping the snow patches white.
- 6Optional: Add a little extra shading in a darker shade of blue on the jacket folds and leave small white highlights on the snow and helmets.
