Baby Ibex Smiling on a Rocky Mountain Ledge

Coloring guide
A cheerful young ibex stands tall on a rocky ledge with big round eyes and a friendly smile. Ridged lines run across its two curved horns, and the shaggy chest and little beard are drawn in fluffy, jagged strokes that are fun to color. A short tufted tail sticks up at the back, and the hooves rest on rounded boulders along the bottom. Two small snow-capped mountain peaks sit behind it with lots of white space around them. Bold outlines help younger kids stay inside the lines, and the fur texture gives older kids something to work on. Sandy browns and soft tans suit the coat, dark brown fits the horns, and light blue is good for the snowy tips. A free printable for animal lovers or a lesson on mountain wildlife. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the goat's body, legs, tail and horns with warm tan, using light, even strokes so the coat looks soft.
- 2Color the beard and chest area with cream, and keep the face and eye whites white.
- 3Add blush pink inside the ears, then leave the eye whites and the snowy mountains white.
- 4Color all four hooves charcoal gray, and fill the small rock patch behind the front legs with sky blue.
- 5Optional: add a darker tan line along the belly and under the horns to give the goat a little shading.
