Twin Cherries: A Happy Fruit Pair with Leaves

Coloring guide
Two round cherries with cartoon faces hang side by side from one long stem. Each has big sparkly eyes, little eyebrows, and an open smile with a tongue. Their thin stems meet at the top, where two large veined leaves spread out to the left and right. The background is plain white, so nothing pulls little colorers away from the cherries. With bold outlines and big, simple shapes, it's a good fit for preschoolers and early elementary kids still building pencil control. You could go classic red on both, or give each its own shade, maybe deep burgundy and bright scarlet, so the twins look different. Fresh green leaves and a brown stem finish things off. A gentle color plan to get started — mix in your own anytime.
- cherry red
- leafy green
- soft pink
- warm tan
A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill both cherry bodies with cherry red, keeping the eyes and the background white.
- 2Color both leaves and both stems with leafy green, using light strokes that follow the leaf veins.
- 3Fill the cut end at the top of the main stem with warm tan.
- 4Color the open mouths of both cherries with soft pink, leaving the small teeth area light.
- 5Leave the eye whites and the background white so the faces pop.
- 6Optional: add a darker red shadow along the lower edge of each cherry for depth.
