This smiling baby tiger stands upright on its hind legs and waves one raised paw, with the toe pads showing on its palm. Big round eyes, a small nose, an open mouth and whiskers give it a friendly face, and there are round ears and a curled, striped tail behind it. Bold stripes mark the head, arms, legs and sides. A large oval tummy is left blank, so little hands get lots of room. A short curved ground line sits under the feet, with no other background. Thick, simple outlines make this a good free printable for preschoolers and early elementary kids. Bright orange fur, black or dark brown stripes and a creamy yellow belly patch is one way to go. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the head, body, arms, legs, feet, and tail with golden orange, leaving the belly, inner ears, and eye whites cream white or unpainted.
- 2Color the tongue salmon pink, the mouth brick red, and the nose and paw pads rose pink.
- 3Add medium brown stripes on the cheeks, sides of the head, legs, and feet, and on the upper arm and side of the body.
- 4Use dark brown for the tail stripes, the stripes on the front paw and the lower arm, and the side stripes on the body.
- 5Color the top head stripes with rust brown and the forehead stripe with burnt orange so they stand out a little.
- 6Optional: Add a few small darker strokes along the edges of the body and tail to give the tiger a bit of depth.
