A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big areas: color the sky and clouds pale blue, then fill the sand ground and the bottom of the arena with sand yellow, leaving the fence posts white.
- 2Color the horse with caramel orange on the body, neck, and hindquarters, and use chestnut brown for the mane, tail, and saddle cloth.
- 3Add the trees and bushes in leaf green and forest green, and color the wooden fence and background barn in tan.
- 4Paint the fence rails with bright blue and sky blue stripes, leaving the white sections between them, and color the two flags bright red.
- 5Fill the rider's jacket and helmet with navy blue, the rider's boots with charcoal, and the horse's hooves and leg wraps with dark gray, keeping the horse's face and muzzle cream.
- 6Optional: Add a little shading with a darker shade of each main color on the horse's belly and the tree shadows to make the scene pop.
