Fruit Basket Heaped High with Apples

Coloring guide
A round wooden basket sits full of apples, with the fruit piled up above the rim in a loose heap. Some apples have short curved stems on top, and a few have pointed leaves attached, including one on the left side, one on the right, and a couple near the front. The basket is drawn with vertical wooden slats, a wide band around the top, and a second band across the middle, with small dots that look like nails along the bands. The lines are bold and the shapes are big, so it works well for younger kids using crayons or chunky markers. Try coloring each apple a different shade, like red, green, and yellow, then talk about the apple varieties you know. The wood slats are also a nice spot to practice staying inside the lines with browns. You can print it free for a fall or harvest activity.
