Slanted Watermelon with Knife Through It and Slice

Coloring guide
A whole oval watermelon sits at a slant across the page with long curved stripes running from end to end. A knife is stuck right through it, with the rounded handle and a small hole poking out at the top left and the pointed blade coming out the lower right side. Below the melon is a wedge-shaped slice with a thick rind, a wavy line where the flesh begins, and a row of teardrop-shaped seeds across the middle. The big open spaces are easy for small hands to fill in. Try green stripes of two different shades on the outside, then red or pink for the slice with black seeds. It's also a nice prompt for talking about what's inside a fruit versus what's outside. Print as many copies as you need for a summer picnic activity.
