Globe-Striped Watermelon with Spiral Vine and Slice

Coloring guide
A large round watermelon fills most of the page, with curved stripes running out from the stem end at the top left like the lines on a globe. The stem is a thin, twisting vine that loops into a spiral and ends in a small curl. In front, at the lower right, sits a triangular wedge of watermelon. Its cut face shows a few oval seeds scattered across the middle, and a thin band of rind runs along the curved bottom edge. The stripes and big open shapes are easy for small hands to color. Try green shades for the rind stripes, using a darker and lighter green side by side, then red or pink for the slice. Kids can also count the seeds on the wedge as a quick counting game once the page is printed.
