Gripping the rock with curled toes, a child in a bat costume hangs upside down from a cave ceiling. The costume has striped leggings, little bat shapes on the legs, a big bat emblem on the chest and wide pointed wings. The kid has spiky hair, big round eyes and a happy open mouth. Next to them hangs a small baby bat with large ears and a cheerful smile, its wings folded around its body. Pointed stalactites drip down around both of them, and a few more rock shapes line the edges. Purple or deep blue would look good on the wings and stripes, and a bright yellow emblem will make the chest stand out. This free printable is an easy add to your growing coloring stash. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big bottom creature face and the bat belly, filling them with caramel orange and light peach.
- 2Color the large bat wings and body bands with dusty purple, and the upper bat bodies with charcoal gray.
- 3Fill the small bat's face and ears: use caramel orange for the face and coral pink for the inner ears.
- 4Add the stalactites and cave ceiling in light blue gray and chocolate brown, and fill the bat claws with steel gray.
- 5Color the wing tips with lavender and the open mouth and small ear details with coral pink.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker shading under the wings and along the bat bodies, and leave the eye whites, the background, and the highlights white.
