Birthday Party Cake With Three Baby Dinosaurs

Coloring guide
It's party time for three baby dinosaurs, and every one of them has a cone-shaped hat on. They're crowded around a tiered cake with four lit candles. A big long-necked dino with a spotted body and back plates grins in the middle. A little triceratops with a frilled head stands to the left, and a small open-mouthed dino leans in from the right. The cake rests on a tree stump with wrapped presents all around it, some with bows and some with polka dots, plus flowers and leafy plants. Palm trees, a smoking volcano and clouds fill the background. Polka-dot and striped balloons, streamers and bunting hang across the top. Kids who like tiny details will have plenty to do, and it's a handy free printable for a birthday party. Rainbow stripes on the party hats would look great, and pink and yellow layers on the cake will pop against the green jungle. Fans of Dinosaurs coloring pages often like Owl and Ladybug as well.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big sky areas around the balloons, mountain and palm trees in sky blue, leaving the small fluffy cloud white.
- 2Color the large dinosaur head, body and neck in golden yellow, then fill the back spikes and the spikes along its sides with bright orange.
- 3Fill the triceratops on the left with lilac and the green dinosaur on the right with lime green, keeping the horn in cream.
- 4Color the cake tiers in cream and buttery yellow, the cake plate in pale blue, and the tree stump below in warm brown.
- 5Add greens to the palm trees, bushes and grass with leaf green and grass green, then fill the balloons, party hats and gift boxes with tomato red, amber orange, royal purple and bright blue.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker shading under the dinosaurs and along the stump edges to make them pop. Leave the eye whites and the cloud white.
