Box-Peeking Cat With a Toy Mouse

Coloring guide
A smiling kitten with big round eyes and striped fur on its forehead peeks over the edge of an open cardboard box, both little paws on the rim. The box flaps fold out to the sides, and the whiskers, pointy ears and tiny open mouth make the kitten look ready to play. In the bottom right corner, a small toy-style mouse with a long curved tail sits on the ground by the box, as if the kitten is about to pounce. The shapes are big and the lines are bold, which helps preschoolers and early elementary kids who are still building pencil and crayon control. Orange and brown stripes suit the kitten, tan or kraft-paper brown the box, and soft gray the mouse. You can print this sheet at home with no sign-up. - 2Color the inner ears, the nose, and the tongue soft pink.
- 3Paint the front and left sides of the box with caramel tan, then color the flaps at the top with tan.
- 4Add chestnut brown stripes on the cat's forehead and dark brown inside the top of the box behind the cat.
- 5Fill the mouse's body and lower snout with light gray, then color its ear and tail with soft pink.
- 6Optional: add a few slightly darker strokes along one side of the box and the cat's head to give the drawing a bit of depth.
