Chameleon Suit Boy on a Jungle Branch, Wild Kratts
Coloring guide
Here a grinning boy crawls along a thick jungle branch, and a friendly chameleon looks up at him from the right. His patchy camouflage-style suit comes with a matching helmet (a big round eye sits on top), plus gloves and boots, and both hands hold tight to the branch. The chameleon has a curly spiral tail, a ridged back and a happy face aimed his way. Big veined leaves frame everything, and a few leafy bushes sit behind. Both the suit and the chameleon's skin have wavy, blotchy patterns, so crayons and colored pencils will have lots to do. Green and teal would suit the boy well, and the chameleon's patches could drift from lime to orange. It's free to print or download for kids and coloring fans of any age. Looking for more? A gentle color plan to get started — mix in your own anytime.
- grass green
- wood brown
- forest green
- lime green
- lemon yellow
- skin peach
- teal green
- leaf green
- olive green
A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big tree branch and trunk in wood brown, leaving the background white.
- 2Color the boy's face and any visible skin in skin peach, keeping the eye whites and teeth white.
- 3Fill the leaves and bushes around the edges with grass green and forest green, adding some leaf green for variety.
- 4Color the chameleon's body, legs and tail with lime green, then add lemon yellow patches on the boy's suit and helmet, leaving the chameleon's eye white.
- 5Use teal green on the helmet and a few patches on the chameleon's back to bring in cool accents.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker shading on the leaves and branch edges with a second shade of the same color to make the drawing pop.
