Across the savanna sprints a smiling boy in a spotted cheetah-print bodysuit, with a real cheetah bounding right alongside. His fists are pumped, his short spiky hair is blown back, and one big sneaker kicks up behind him. Puffs of dust trail along the ground. Behind them you'll spot rolling hills, a flat-topped acacia tree, a smaller tree on the left, and little grass tufts and rocks. The cheetah has a spotted coat, a striped tail tip and a focused stare. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the sky blue for the rolling hills on the left, right and in the distance, leaving the sky background white.
- 2Fill the cheetah's body, the boy's arms, legs and spotted suit with golden yellow, keeping the black spots and white areas around them.
- 3Color the boy's tank top and shorts, the cheetah's paws and belly with cream, and the boy's shoe top with pale gray.
- 4Use leaf green for the big acacia tree canopy and the bushes, then add bark brown to the tree trunk and light gold to the small details of the cheetah's face.
- 5Finish the skin with peach, the hair with chestnut brown, the shoes with ocean blue and light gray, and the rocks with light gray. Keep the eye whites, tooth highlights and shoe stripes white.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker golden yellow or olive brown shading along the edges of the cheetah and boy to make them pop.
