Cheerful Elf Perched on a Giant Spotted Mushroom
Coloring guide
Perched on top of an oversized spotted mushroom, this young elf has pointy ears, a happy grin, hands on the cap and legs dangling over the edge. His soft pointed hat has a leaf tucked in the side. He also wears a leafy tunic with jagged edges, a belt and buckle, and curled-toe boots with fuzzy cuffs. The cap is covered in big round spots, and the wide stem is easy to fill in. Three smaller mushrooms and a few grass tufts sit along the bottom. Chunky shapes and clear outlines suit preschoolers and early elementary kids well. Green works nicely for the hat and tunic, brown for the boots and belt, and a bright red cap will make those white spots stand out. Print or download it free whenever you want a quick coloring break. - light peach
- cherry red
- forest green
- chocolate brown
- lime green
- soft rose
- coral pink
A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big mushroom cap, the small mushrooms and the hat band in cherry red, leaving the round spots white.
- 2Color the elf's face, ears, neck, arms and the mushroom stems in light peach, then add the open smile in coral pink.
- 3Fill the hat, the tunic, the shoulder leaves and the legs in forest green.
- 4Color the hair, the belt and the boots in chocolate brown, then use lime green for the hat leaf, the collar leaves and the tops of the boots.
- 5Add a soft rose blush to the right mushroom cap and leave the belt buckle and the eye and tooth highlights white.
- 6Optional: add a slightly darker shade of each color along one side of the shapes for a bit of depth.
