Leaning down, a round, spiky hedgehog touches its nose to the surface of a pond and sends little ripples across the water. A small smiling frog sits on a rock at the right edge, watching. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the hedgehog's spiky back and side spines in chocolate brown, and fill its face and ears with peach, leaving the eye whites white.
- 2Paint the grass and reeds on both sides in leaf green and grass green, then add forest green along the darker blades.
- 3Fill the lily pads with grass green and lime green, and color the pond water around the hedgehog's nose and the ripples in sky blue.
- 4Color the lotus flower with bright pink on the outer petals and light pink on the inner ones, adding dusty rose to the middle petal.
- 5Color the cattails in light brown, the rocks in light gray, and the frog in pale yellow with lime green on its legs and back.
- 6Optional: add a darker chocolate brown along the lower edges of the spines to give the hedgehog a bit of depth.
