Hot Air Balloon Easter Egg with a Bunny Passenger

A smiling bunny with long ears and a little neckerchief peeks over the edge of a woven basket. The balloon above it is shaped like a decorated egg, covered in hearts, scalloped bands, dots, big diamond patterns and a row of flowers, so there's lots to color. Bows are tied around the basket. Below, the scene drifts over rolling hills, a winding path, a wooden fence, a little village with a church steeple, and flower beds along the bottom. Fluffy clouds, a few birds and a rayed sun fill the sky. Pastel pink, lilac and sunny yellow would suit the egg's patterns, and soft green the hills. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big balloon: fill the top band with golden yellow, the diamond band with orange and royal blue, and the flower band with lime green, leaving the small highlights on the balloon sides white.
- 2Color the sky clouds pale sky blue and the sun area stays white, then fill the distant hills with light blue.
- 3Fill the bottom grass and hills with grass green and lime green, and color the river in light blue.
- 4Color the bunny head light gray, the inner ears light pink, and the scarf red, leaving the eye whites and little paws white.
- 5Make the basket brown with white weave lines, then add red and pink details on the balloon stripes.
- 6Optional: Add a little shading on the grass and balloon with a slightly darker shade of the same color to make it pop.
