Fishing Cat on a Wooden Dock by the Lily Pond

Coloring guide
A grinning tabby cat perches at the edge of a wooden dock and holds a fishing rod, with the line dropping into the pond and a round bobber floating on top. A wooden bucket sits beside the cat, and thick posts support the dock. Three fish swim under the surface and a little duck paddles close by. The pond is full of water lilies, lily pads and tall cattails, and a leafy tree hangs over the left side. On the far shore there's a small cabin with a fenced yard among bushes and trees, under one puffy cloud. Between the cat's stripes and all those lily pads, kids get plenty of tiny spaces to fill in. Orange and brown stripes for the cat go well with pink water lilies on blue-green water. Print it at home for class time or a rainy afternoon. - 2Paint the pond water bright blue and the sky and small clouds pale blue, leaving the background near the top right white.
- 3Color the dock planks and posts tan, the bucket and cattail stalks brown, and the wooden fence and grass lime green.
- 4Fill the trees and bushes with leaf green and lime green, and give the tree trunks a brown color.
- 5Color the lily pads leaf green and the lily flowers pink, then make the fish light green and the duck yellow.
- 6Optional: Add a darker orange stripe on the cat and a slightly deeper blue in the water for depth.
