Flying Ladybug With Wings Spread Wide

Coloring guide
Across the page zooms a cheerful ladybug, red wing covers lifted high and thin, veiny wings opened out on either side. Big sparkly eyes, a happy open smile, two curly antennae and a striped tummy make its face a friendly one. Each wing cover has big round spots that are simple to color, and little legs dangle underneath. A round sun with straight rays sits at the top right, and three puffy clouds fill in the sky, one at the top left and two along the bottom. Thick, clear outlines work well for preschoolers and early elementary kids using crayons or chunky markers. Red wing covers with black spots, a sunny yellow sun and soft light blue clouds would be lovely. A free printable for quiet time at home or school. Looking for more? A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the sun, its rays, the bee's head, body, legs and antenna tips with golden yellow.
- 2Fill the clouds and the four blue wings with sky blue, leaving the wing veins as white lines.
- 3Color both large wings with coral red, leaving the round spots white for now.
- 4Fill the spots and the black stripes across the bee's body with charcoal gray, keeping the eye whites and shine spots white.
- 5Add the soft pink smile on the face.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker blue along the bottom edges of the clouds and wings for depth.
