Forest Friends: Hedgehog and Squirrel with Acorns

A smiling hedgehog strolls across a leafy forest floor while a squirrel sits on a thick branch overhead, holding an acorn in its paws. Two fallen oak leaves rest on the hedgehog's spiky back, and more leaves drift through the air behind it. Tall trees fill the background, and the ground is dotted with spotted mushrooms, acorns, ferns and scattered leaves. Big shapes mixed with fine detail suit kids who like to take their time, and the spiky back and leaf patterns are good practice for small pencil strokes. Warm browns and tans work on the hedgehog, red-orange on the squirrel's tail, and bright reds with yellow spots on the mushroom caps.
