Friendly Autumn Forest Wolves Page with a Squirrel and Acorns
Coloring guide
In the middle of a woodland scene, a friendly wolf stands facing you with fluffy chest fur, pointed ears and a gentle smile. A little squirrel sits in the oak branches at the top right holding an acorn. More acorns hang from a branch on the left and lie on the ground in the bottom corners. Around the wolf are tall tree trunks, evergreens, distant mountains, fallen leaves, a few mushrooms, fallen logs and leafy bushes. The thick fur means lots of small strokes for patient colorers, while the big leaves and mushrooms are easier for younger kids. Try soft grays and silvery blues on the wolf, then warm oranges, reds and browns for the leaves and acorns. It's a free page, so print a few extra copies to have on hand. Add this to your Wolves coloring page collection, alongside Bat and Sea Animals.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the sky and distant hills: fill the open sky behind the wolf with sky blue, then color the far mountains and hills with soft blue.
- 2Color the wolf's head, neck, back leg, and tail with medium gray, and leave the chest, body, and front legs in cream for a soft, fluffy look.
- 3Fill the tree trunks and the fallen log with warm brown, then color the leafy branches and bushes with leaf green and pine green.
- 4Paint the grass and ground with bright lime, and add the squirrel in orange, the acorns in golden tan, and the wolf's inner ears in peach.
- 5Finish the details: color the mushroom caps in bright red and their stems in cream, then add the distant pine trees in forest green.
- 6Optional: add a few darker strokes of medium gray along the wolf's fur edges and under the log for a little depth.
