Furry Monster Holding Watermelon Slice With Letter W

A big outlined letter W fills this page, and standing in front of it is a furry monster with tufty hair, bows on both sides of its head, round eyes and a wide open smile. It holds a huge half-moon slice of watermelon with both hands, and its head peeks over the top while its fuzzy legs and feet stick out below. The watermelon has a curved rind band along the bottom and lots of oval seeds scattered across the flesh. Kids can color the fruit red or pink with black seeds and a green rind, then pick a bright color for the W. It works well for a W is for Watermelon activity, and since it's printable you can run off a few copies for a letter practice center. Ask kids to name other fruits that start with different letters.
