Garden Cat Leaping After a Butterfly

Coloring guide
A happy striped kitten springs through the air, one paw stretched toward a butterfly fluttering just above. The cat has a big open smile, wide shiny eyes, whiskers and a curled, boldly striped tail. All around it are tall daisy-style flowers on both sides, smaller blooms in the bottom corner, tufts of grass, leafy bushes and a little picket fence in the background. The butterfly has round spots on its wings and curly antennae, so it's a nice place to add detail. Warm orange with darker stripes suits the kitten, and purple or blue for the butterfly will stand out from the green garden. Download this one as a free PDF, no sign-up needed. - 1Start with the big cat body and head in tangerine orange, leaving the belly and tail tip white.
- 2Color the cat's head and ears in peach, and add tangerine orange to the tail and stripes along the back.
- 3Fill the front paw and the arm with golden yellow, keeping the paw tip white.
- 4Color the butterfly wings in rose pink, hot pink, lavender purple and sky blue, and its head in bright yellow.
- 5Add forest green and lime green to the grass, bushes and flower stems, leaving the daisy petals and flower centers white with bright yellow middles.
- 6Optional: Add a little burnt orange shading on the cat's tail stripes and sand beige on the small patch of dirt under the grass to add depth.
