Country Road Drive with a Happy Cat at the Window

Coloring guide
A fluffy cat hangs out of a car window, both paws on the door, tongue poking out and whiskers blowing in the wind. Past the car, a winding road curves by a wooden fence, a low stone wall and a patch of daisy-like flowers. Further back you'll spot rolling hills, a calm lake, a small village with a church steeple, fluffy clouds, a few birds and a big round sun, with a leafy tree filling the top left corner. The cat's shaggy fur and the side mirror are great places to practice pencil texture. Soft orange or gray crayons suit the fur, and bright yellow and pink would look good on the roadside flowers. It's a free printable PDF, handy for a quick coloring break. If you enjoyed this Cats page, don't miss our Farm Animals and Tiger coloring pages.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the car: fill the body, roof, door and side mirror with red, keeping the window openings for later.
- 2Color the cat's fluffy fur with apricot and golden yellow, add burnt orange on the chest and chin, and fill the inside of the ears with light pink.
- 3Paint the lake and river with sky blue, and the distant hills and mountains with teal blue, leaving the clouds and birds white.
- 4Add the greens: trees, bushes and grassy hills in bright green, leaf green and lime green, with forest green for the darker areas.
- 5Fill the road in medium gray, the seats in beige, the paws in cream white, and the wheels and tyres in charcoal gray. Leave the cat's eye highlights white.
- 6Optional: add a few darker strokes of charcoal gray or burnt orange under the cat's chin and along the car's edges for a little depth.
